No desire sprouts in the heart of the wise on adoring one well-versed in Scriptures, a deity or a holy place as well as seeing a woman, king or one beloved.
Like any other intelligent individual, the spiritually enlightened one too will have a sensitive and vibrant mind, and intellect able to perceive, adjudge and evaluate matters. How he uses these faculties will depend upon his own predilections! How exquisitely well have great Knowers spoken and written. Hardly anything else in human effort can match their revelations.
Our ageless Vedic literature belongs to such a level, kind and dimension. Countless millennia have passed. Even today it is as fresh as it was in the ancient past. In language, content, message and the truths they reveal, Upanishads are par supreme. They are a test/examination for scholars of all times.
The wise one may interact with a variety of people and places. He may adore a Vedic scholar to encourage him. He may worship a deity, visit a holy place. He may as well see a good-looking woman, a great king, someone beloved to him. All these evoke no special response or desire in him. Everything is like so many others surrounding him, a singular display of Nature!
He extends lovingly due response to each, but is immersed in impersonality. Interactions are but peripheral. His identity is far too deep and lofty, not touched or drawn the least by interactions, which at best involve the body, mind, intellect and ego. He is far more inward and infinite, wherein nothing touches, involves or taints!
