Discourse & Satsangs

The core of Brahmavidya dissemination mission of NAT and CIRDs consists of Discourses and Satsangs conducted by Poojya Swamiji and his sannyasin disciples Swami Nirviseshananda Tirtha and Ma Gurupriya (in person as well as online).
Generally there are two annual programmes in CIRDs and other cities in India and abroad – one during the visit of Poojya Swamiji and Ma, and the other during the visit of Nutan Swamiji. Programmes conducted during Poojya Swamiji’s visit are called Jnana Yajna, and during Nutan Swamiji’s visit are called Sadhana Shibiram.

Major Events

Apart from regular discourses conducted by the Ashram throughout the year, some annual programmes take place in the Ashram and some others in different centres across the world. All programmes are live streamed irrespective of where they take place.

Jnana Yajna

Jnaana Yajna consists of Knowledge dissemination programmes through series of public discourses, workshops, sessions for youth and professionals, and living in the association of the Knower. This takes place when Poojya Swamiji along with Ma visit various CIRDs and other cities.

2-5 weeks Knowledge dissemination programmes during Nutan Swamiji’s visits to CIRDs and other cities in India and abroad. Apart from discourses and workshops, a unique feature is 2-4 weeks “Enlightened Living” residential Retreat.

This Convention aims to bring the universal message of Bhagavad Gita to people across the world. Held in reputed universities in East and West Coasts of USA from 2017-2019, the programme evoked great interest and inspiration in the attendees.

Śreemad Bhāgavata Tattva Sameeksha Satram (SBTSS) (Malayalam)

10-day Knowledge Festival, in which Saints and Scholars explain how the essential values of Śreemad Bhāgavatam can be applied to daily life. Thousands of devotees from rural and urban areas participate in this programme, which concludes with a grand Vishnusahasranama Archana and Yajna.

Atma Tattva Sameeksha Satram (ATSS) (Malayalam)

Annual 8-day public discourse series conducted by Poojya Swamiji in Thrissur town (Sri Moolasthanam in front of Vadakunathan Shiva Temple) since 1996. After completing Bhagavad Gita in 2013, Swamiji is now exposing Ashtavakra Samhita.

Poojya Swamiji’s Jayanti (May 13)

The holy Jayanti (birthday) of Poojya Swamiji is observed every year in Ashram and other Centres. The programme consists of bhajans, worship of Poojya Swamiji’s Lotus feet followed by his special benedictory message and prasada distribution.

Vishnusahasranama Yajna

As a means to integrate the society fragmented by caste and community differences, Poojya Swamiji introduced Saarvajanika (collective) Vishnusahasranama Archana and Yajna. Thousands of people offer flower petals at the base of lamps with the chorus chanting of thousand names representing the Supreme Lord.

Mataji Sulabha Devi’s Mahasamadhi (Dec 17)

The day is observed with bhajans, worshipping Poojya Swamiji’s Lotus Feet, and then reminiscing about Mataji’s association and contribution to the Ashram. The programme concludes with all devotees proceeding to Samadhi Mandir, and offering flower petals at the samadhi of Mataji Sulabha Devi.
