Devoid of ego or possessiveness, resolving well that nothing in reality exists, all desires having fallen off, even if the Knower acts immensely he does not in reality.
However strong is the realization that nothing besides the singular inner presence is, where no imprint of the external objects survives, the embodiment of the Knower, however, continues, governed by its own course. It is time that brought his body. The same time will lead it to fall. Till then it lives and acts the way it has been. Spiritual wisdom is not to interfere with the normal course of the body or the world. It is meant to facilitate and fulfil it.
So the Knower continues to be active, in whichever field he chooses. As Arjuna got up, took back his bow and arrow and fought for 18 days the Mahabharata war, Krishna was active throughout his life, Janaka and Sri Rama ruled the kingdoms all along, the Knower continues to be active with all grace and benevolence. But he will not have the least ego to own up anything he does. Nor will he have possessiveness either.
For, all the actions touch and involve (i) the senses (ii) the mind and (iii) the intelligence, not beyond. Whereas he is the Self still beyond, where nothing can reach, touch or involve!
This untouched, unhurt, uninvolved identity gives so much of enthusiasm and energy to work, that he excels in everything he does, like Krishna. Krishna describes the yogi as anapekṣaḥ, non-expectant, śuciḥ, clean, dakṣaḥ, dexterous, gata-vyathaḥ, free of affliction (Gita 12.16 ). What a wonderful climax!
