Ashtavakra Gita 17.11 -

सर्वत्र दृश्यते स्वस्थ: सर्वत्र विमलाशय: ।
समस्तवासनामुक्तो मुक्त: सर्वत्र राजते

sarvatra dṛśyate svasthaḥ sarvatra vimalāśayaḥ .
samasta-vāsanā-mukto muktaḥ sarvatra rājate .. 17-11..

He is seen everywhere as Self-abiding, everywhere of pure mind. Liberated from all desires, he is liberated indeed and shines everywhere in his own lustre.

Commentary by Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha

To be untouched by the three states is to be radiant in his innate, sovereign splendour. Free of the hold of objects, is to be shining as the Subject. In the absence of the objects, the relative Subject also becomes irrelevant. Thus the Knower becomes transcendental, with nothing to compare, revealing himself everywhere. His senses are on the body; they will perceive outside. That process is immaterial to the Knower. He is not the senses; nor can the senses touch him. How can the objects then touch? Others will see him as Self-withdrawn, Self-resting. For such a one, where is any cause to be impure or defiled? He is purity incarnate.

Desire becomes relevant only when something besides oneself is there. In a state where no second or additional presence is there, where is the question of desiring or desires at all? Freed of desires, he becomes the liberated spiritual splendour. Such a one shines everywhere.

In Gita, Krishna describes how Brahma-nirvāṇa surrounds the Knower, wherever he goes and whatever he does. He carries the spiritual redemptional radiance with him, wherever he is. Krishna says this happens to one who is totally dissociated from the hold of passion and hatred. Passion and prejudice are the only two urges which suppress and subdue the mind, disallowing it to become pure and turn inward to the splendorous Self.
