Ashtavakra Gita 15.16 -

तवैवाज्ञानतो विश्वं त्वमेक: परमार्थत: ।
त्वत्तोऽन्यो नास्ति संसारी नासंसारी च कश्चन

tavaivājñānato viśvaṃ tvam-ekaḥ paramārthataḥ .
tvatto’nyo nāsti saṃsārī nāsaṃsārī ca kaścana .. 15-16..

Universe is an outcome of your ignorance. In reality you, the Self, alone is. There is no embodied soul, nor disembodied one, different from you.

Commentary by Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha

Life and everything that transpires in it are experiential. Experience does not belong to the body or senses. In fact, they are themselves experienced by the mind inside the body. As you sense the body, so too you sense the world around. For both, the basis is your own inner mind and its experience. This point should not be forgotten at all.

You feel and see your body. The same you alone feel and see the world too. Seeing is an inner process, resting on your mind. Your mind alone projects the world, becomes the world, as in dream the sleeper projects the dream. Every day you remain active and interactive, after you wake up for some hours. At the end, you yourself wipe off the entire wakeful world and go to sleep. Unless the world perception is solely yours, in you alone, how can you wipe it off and be without it for eight hours at a stretch?

So, there is a great deal of emphasis in saying, “You are the universe; it is your creation”. Nothing is different from you. Do not say you are worldly, and not worldly; nor that you had birth, you will die and get reborn. None of these is a fact about you, the inner presence, the Self. It is like multiplying a huge list of figures, ultimately with a zero! Or multiplying the huge list, with zero as the first figure. Understand the first truth, that you are the Self, singular giving no room for anything second or third.
