Ashtavakra Gita 6.4 -

अहं वा सर्वभूतेषु सर्वभूतान्यथो मयि ।
इति ज्ञानं तथैतस्य न त्यागो न ग्रहो लय:

ahaṃ vā sarva-bhūteṣu sarva-bhūtāny-atho mayi .
iti jñānaṃ tathaitasya na tyāgo na graho layaḥ .. 6-4..

I am present in all beings, and all beings are in me. This indeed is true knowledge. Therefore, there is no relevance for abandonment, acceptance or destruction or dissolution.

Commentary by Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha

The Sage asked Janaka to dissolve the world perception in the all-pervading Self, as nothing additional to all-pervading presence is thinkable. Omnipresence excludes a second factor.

Janaka in response claims that he does not find anything at all to be left, taken or obliterated. He realizes the Self alone as present everywhere. The sleeper or sleeping Consciousness alone is there. The whole dream is a mere display within the sleeper himself.

World too is but a perception, brought by the perceiving Consciousness. It is a display the Consciousness brings, using its own inscrutable power. In it there is no physicality, cause and effect, etc. Many thoughts arise within us. All of them subsequently subside. Thinking that they have arisen, can anyone hunt for their existence and hope to find it? It is an inner phenomenon, effected by Consciousness. Consciousness does it with no special effort.

Here too the Self, Consciousness, displays the world objects. Each and all of them inhere in Consciousness alone and are pervaded by it. Objects are in the Self as much as the Self is in the objects displayed, as dream objects are in the dreamer, and the dreamer in them as well. It is a majestic display. Value it like that, and remain rooted to your non-dual knowledge and its exclusiveness. Leave all ideas of acceptance, rejection and destruction. Be free.
