For one who has inwardly left all his delusional clinging, who is not involved in pairs of opposites, who is free from desires, whatever sensory outcomes come by chance, do not cause either grief or contentment.
Love and hate, desirable and undesirable, etc. are the usual motivations for the mind to be active. When these are left, what happens to the mind and life? When constrictions fall, the mind becomes greatly enriched, with ease, poise and peace. It begins to greet and rejoice over whatever comes by chance. The Knower accepts everything as Providence’s behest, preserving a delightful state of acceptance and harmony.
As long as Mother Earth revolves, the sun rises and sets, all life will thrive unhindered, like everything else in Nature. The Knower will be given to noble activities. With ego-centric thoughts and feelings falling, the mind will have indefinable expanse, depth and loftiness. His activities also will be correspondingly greater and benevolent. Invariably, he will be given to expose the merits of spiritual pursuit and the inner fulfilment it bestows. He may also be given to activities beneficial to the people around. His life will be a message of selflessness in place of selfishness.
In his inner spiritual expanse, he will not have either grief or joy. What imbues and surrounds him will be the horizon of evenness, equipoise, wherein all dvandvas become even and harmonious. It is a wonderful state of poise and fullness, which when had, will leave nothing else to be desired. What an ineffable note of inner abundance and fulfilment!
