Ah, in me the infinite ocean, when the wind of the mind arises, instantly come up strange waves of the world.
The experience of the inner spiritual presence, which animates and activates the body, once gained, becomes stronger. Compare the experience of world objects the mind cognizes as its own imprints, all floating on the Self alone, their sole Subject.
In experiencing anything, what comes to be felt is the Subject ‘I’, not the objects perceived. The perceived subsides repeatedly, the perceiver does not. Objects are manifold, their Subject is single. All the experienced objects only reveal the might, majesty and magnitude of the Subject. Imagine how great you will feel, when you realize this inner Subject and its dimensions!
This is how Janaka brings one illustration after another, to denote how wonderful is his realization of the Subject Self. He says the whole world manifestation is within his body. It is in the Self, like innumerable waves in the endless ocean. He is the infinite ocean within, in which the mind-wind generates world-waves. There is nothing but the mind and the Self. The whole experience is an inconceivable display, the Self does within the body.
In sleep nothing is there or felt. On waking alone, the mind arises and its waves display the manifold world. At the end of the day, you lie to sleep. The Self effaces the mind and its display all by itself.
What more do you want to know that it is all inner and the Self alone is everything?
