In this talk, Swamiji explains that the inner Presence, the Supreme “I,” is the eternal seed and source of all beings. The power and potential of the self is such that it is present in all people with different traits and nature, but it remains the same in all. Though one, it gives rise to infinite plurality. Krishna further declares that whatever features or expressions sattva, rajas and tamas arouse, they emerge from Him alone.

Humans are deluded by the illusional display of the three gunas and as a result do not know the Supreme, which transcends the Gunas. This Divine illusion (Maya) is hard to overcome. To transcend this Maya, Krishna urges seekers to take refuge in Him, the Supreme. Men whose discrimination is stolen by Maya, are given to demonical tendencies, and do not seek refuge in the Supreme.

Sri Krishna describes the four kinds of devotees who worship God—the afflicted, enquirers, those with desires and Jnanis (realized Knowers). Swamiji urges everyone to introspect and discover which category of devotee they belong to.
