In the seventh chapter of the Bhagavad Gita, Sri Krishna describes His eightfold Prakriti—the manifest creation composed of the five great elements (earth, water, fire, air, and space) along with the inner instruments: mind, intellect, and ego. Such systematic enumerations in the scriptures serve a clear purpose: to guide the seeker step by step toward the ultimate truth.

Krishna further reveals His higher nature as the Jiva, the living principle that enlivens, sustains, and expresses the entire universe. He is the source, sustainer, and dissolver of all existence—the very womb from which all sentient and insentient beings arise.

At a microcosmic level, the same processes of creation, preservation, and dissolution are constantly taking place within the individual in the form of thoughts arising, abiding, and subsiding. The power behind these processes within the body is none other than the same universal source. Swamiji thus urges seekers to take to deep introspection on the divinity within.
