Swamiji continues to discuss the seventh chapter, where Sri Krishna says that four kinds of noble people worship the Lord—the distressed, the seeker of supreme Truth, the seeker of some attainment and the knower of Truth.

Sri Krishna declares that all the four kinds of devotees are noble, but the Jnani is verily His own Atma. Among all the devotees, the Jnani excels because of his one-pointed devotion and constant union with the Lord. The Lord is extremely dear to him and he is also very dear to the Lord. By virtue of his knowledge, he attains the supreme goal and he remains integrated with the Lord.

At the completion of many janmas, one becomes knowledgeable and attains the Supreme. He understands that everything is the Self/God alone. Such a knower is extremely rare. A seeker gains access to this supreme knowledge only through the words of the Guru- the Knower of Truth.
