In this Global Satsang, Swamiji delves into the profound teachings of the Bhagavad Gita, specifically focussing on the discussion of Yoga and Saankhya. The talk explores Arjuna's enquiry in the 5th chapter about the path of Yoga and Sankhya.

Sri Krishna says that whatever state one attains through Saankhya, the same state is attained by Yoga too. They both are the same. Karma Yoga speaks about evenness (Samatva) towards success and failure and Saankhya speaks about evenness towards Sukha and Duhkha. They both speak about the same Samatva, which is a mento-intellectual pursuit. Mind and intelligence alone are applied in both Saankhya and Yoga. In every pursuit, the seeker must strive for the reformation and refinement of the mind and intelligence alone. All paths lead to the same freedom, flexibility and harmony.

Bhakti is often perceived as an emotional aspect of a human. One does not understand the necessity of introspection in Bhakti. Srimad Bhagavatam, through its verses, stresses that Bhakti is always to be complemented by Jnana. It stresses the need for introspection alongside devotion, for wholesome spiritual growth. By a process of Vichara, the mind must become integrated, steady, unswerving and harmonious. A Bhakta (devotee) must cultivate qualities of evenness, forbearance, non-possessiveness, peacefulness, assimilativeness and flexibility to grow wholesomely in his devotion.

Swamiji urges listeners to deeply delve into the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita, introspect upon them and contemplate upon the applicational relevance of the verses.
