085 – Bhagavad Gita – Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha

After making it abundantly clear that none can ever remain inactive even for a moment, Poojya Swamiji enlightens us about the Yajna attitude of mind.

Swamiji explains that to be active is far superior than being inactive. Even the preservation of our body will not be possible without action. However, one has to discreetly perform all actions with Yajna attitude, otherwise these actions will bind us in sukha and dukha. All sukha-dukha feelings are responses produced by the mind - not the senses, objects or actions. So the mind, by bringing a new orientation towards Karma - that is to perform all karma as an offering to the Supreme, will not be troubled by the outcome of activities.

Swamiji says, activities will always happen, but doing it with Yajna attitude is entirely our will. For a seeker, doing all activity with yogic enrichment is what ultimately matters!
