In this Satsang, Ma reads out and explains a chapter from the book “To the Householder”, in which Swamiji emphasizes that a seeker must take to the practice of observing the mind. This practice is as essential as food and drink for the body. Through regular observation and introspection, a weak mind will grow in strength.
When introspection is taken up regularly, the mind will become peaceful, light, and transparent. The mind must be made richer every day through introspection, evaluation, and correction. Every day must be a day of depth, and expansion for the seeker. Knowledge always helps, strengthens and supports the efforts of a sadhaka, a spiritual seeker.
One must learn to turn inward, close the eyes, and seek guidance and inspiration from within. Every situation in life one must be driven towards fulfilment. Swamiji assures seekers that the mind can delight one even without any external objects. A cheerful mind becomes one’s possession and with that one can overwhelm every external situation. This is the way available for all to find peace and happiness.
