Ma Gurupriya ji's reflections on Poojya Swamiji's morning messages (Prabhata Rashmih)
Date: 13 March 2026
Venue: Vijnana Bhavana, Narayanashrama Tapovanam
Book: *Prabhata Rashmih Volume 2: Chapter 17: Humility and Receptivity-Essential in Seeking*
In this Satsang, Ma reads from Swamiji’s book ‘Prabhata Rashmih’, where he says that a seeker must be very attentive to avoid ego or lack of receptivity. A person may possess many noble qualities, but even a few shortcomings can obstruct the attainment of knowledge and fulfilment.
A seeker should not become egoistic on the ground of his austerity or ascetic life, on ground of his scriptural study or long years spent in the company of his guru. The mind should always be kept open and humble to receive the brilliant rays of truth. Ego on account of the body, the personality, learning, wealth, or ascetic merits, will only hinder fulfilment and the spiritual pursuit.
Swamiji also stresses on the need for sincerity. When one is a sadhaka or a sadhika, the emphasis should be on doing the sadhana, the whole life will have to be transformed into a sadhana. Sincerity and fondness will persuade the seeker to ensure that every action becomes a support for Sadhana.
