In this Satsang, Ma reads and explains a chapter from Poojya Swamiji’s book ‘Prabhata Rashmih’, where he emphasizes that a sincere seeker must be earnest in seeking purity, to the exclusion of everything else.

For imbibing noble traits and discarding undesirable traits, one must pray to the Lord and seek more and more purity. Whether through prayer to God or a mental resolve (Sankalpa), the intensity and wholesomeness of the wish belong to the seeker.

A seeker must have a sincere wish to become pure. Whenever impure thoughts come, he must observe them, reflect upon them and register the need to discard them. He must look for purity and yearn for it. In the hearts of genuine and loyal seekers, the growth and blossoming of purity will become very facile.

Ma says that for purity, the process of introspection and self-assessment must be kept alive. There must be a constant attention, alertness towards every thought, activity, speech, and interaction. Just like one would discard a thorn embedded in the flesh, a seeker should yearn to discard all the unwanted traits from the mind.
