Ma Gurupriya ji's reflections on Poojya Swamiji's morning messages (Prabhata Rashmih)
Date: 13 March 2026
Venue: Vijnana Bhavana, Narayanashrama Tapovanam
Book: *Prabhata Rashmih Volume 1: Chapter 28: Shraddha - The Watchword*
In this Satsang, Ma reads and explains a chapter from Swamiji’s ‘Prabhata Rashmih’, which extols the virtue of Shraddha. He says that if an activity does not engage the person fully and does not give one joy, then it indicates a lack of Shraddha. Citing activities such as offering flowers and serving food in the Ashram, he emphasizes that each activity must become an opportunity to generate Shraddha.
Seekers must look into their own mind to detect subtle notes of pettiness, greed, competition, temptation to excel others or to do things abruptly. In the pursuit of God-realization, the focus should always be the purification of the mind. All disciplines and exercises are meant only to make the mind free of desires, ego, likes and dislikes.
Swamiji emphasizes that Shraddha should be cultivated with a view to discovering one’s own disharmonies, distractions and inattentions, and eliminating them completely.
Shlokas chanted in the Satsang:
