Ma Gurupriya ji's reflections on Poojya Swamiji's morning messages (Prabhata Rashmih)
Date: 10 March 2026
Venue: Vijnana Bhavana, Narayanashrama Tapovanam
Book: *Prabhata Rashmih Volume 1: Chapter 34: Purity of the Mind*
In this Satsang, Ma reads and explains a chapter from Poojya Swamiji’s book Prabhata Rashmih, titled ‘Purity of the Mind’, where he emphasizes that desires, ego, and possessiveness are the source of all human afflictions. When they are sublimated, the worldliness dissolves and godliness shines forth.
A mind free from desires, expectations, ego, and possessiveness is a pure mind. Through repeated manana (introspection), a seeker must strive to eliminate these impurities.
Purity must be attempted in and through all actions and interactions. Instead of allowing the mind to be diverted by various interactions, every activity should be channelized towards inner purification. The Self manifests through the mind and the internal functions. So, purity of mind itself is Self-realization. Mind’s purity is attained by vigilant observation of the mind’s functions, and by remaining poised and silent.
