278 – Divinising the Day 23 I Every Activity is Worship of the Lord | Swamini Ma Gurupriya

Ma Gurupriya ji's reflections on Poojya Swamiji's morning messages (Prabhata Rashmih)
Date: 03 March 2026
Venue: Vijnana Bhavana, Narayanashrama Tapovanam
Book: *Prabhata Rashmih Volume 2: Chapter 20: Every Activity is Worship of the Lord*

In this Satsang, Ma reads out a chapter from Swamiji’s book Prabhata Rashmih-Vol 2, where he responds to a question as to whether social service is necessary or helpful for a seeker of Truth, and whether it distracts one from exclusive spiritual practice.

Swamiji emphasizes that spiritual life is not only for one’s own liberation, but also for the welfare of the world. However, social service by itself may not be helpful unless it is coupled with a Yogic attitude. When we take up activities with this attitude, the mind becomes enlightened. Bhagavad Gita says that a seeker must perform all actions with the right attitude, in surrender, without ego.

For a spiritual seeker, there is no question of whether social service should be done or not—because all actions should become spiritual, sublime and spiritually elevating. Actions by themselves do not make a difference. But when actions are performed with the spirit of surrender, then by the grace of the Divine, the seeker attains the Supreme.

Swamiji emphasizes that even sacred acts like Yajna, Dana, and tapas are to be performed without Sanga—without attachment, or possessiveness. All activities, if performed as an offering, as a dedication, as being propelled by and depending upon the Supreme Reality — then those very activities will lead to the Supreme.
