Question and answer session with Nutan Swamiji during a two day Bhagavad Gita Retreat conducted at Ohio, during the 2025 visit.
Date: 28 June 2025
Venue: Genova Community Township hall, 5111 South Old 3C Road, Westerville, Ohio 43082
In this session, through his concise and comprehensive replies, Swamiji offers the participants a fresh perspective on Sadhana and handling day-to-day interactions. Narrating simple incidents from his own life, he explains how seekers can handle all interactions—remaining calm, patient, and unaffected.
Usually, the mind is distracted and scattered by desires for external gains and the mind refuses to focus within. When a seeker develops Atmarati (delight in the Self), automatically the mind becomes one-pointed and withdraws within.
The solution to all problems—in all fields of life—lies in the Atma. When one constantly interacts with the qualities of the Self—like unaffectedness, stability etc.—one imbibes them and the mind slowly becomes like the Soul. Endowed with these qualities, one can act and interact in the domestic, professional, and societal spheres without any stress or tension.
The Bhagavad Gita says that performing all activities in a regulated manner, one must remain unaffected by the success or failure of his effort. While performing activities a seeker must avoid sanga-delusional clinging, egotism, and Raga-dvesha (desire and hatred).
