Swamiji discusses a verse from Srimad Bhagavatam, where Sri Krishna tells Uddhava that interactions bring about a certain measure of impurities in the mind, intelligence and ego. A seeker must make an effort to purify the mind. By constantly listening to Lord’s glories and Keertana of the Lord, the inner personality gets purified. By these activities and interactions, one will be able to purify the mind and intelligence making them sharper. Then, the Subtle Presence will be revealed.

Vivekachudamani says that as much as one is able to rest and contemplate upon the soul, so much proportionately the mind will start shedding desires for the external world objects. By this process, slowly the mind will become free of desires. Then the Self experience becomes obstruction free. Swamiji emphasizes that the effect of a devotional or Spiritual Practice is instantaneous.
