In this enlightening session, Swamiji introduces the participants to Spirituality. The world is made of Panchabhutas—five elements, earth, water, air, fire, and space, which are insentient and inert. Spirituality is the knowledge of the sentience, the One living presence, the Self.

Spirituality starts when a seeker starts thinking “I am not the body. I am the Self, different from the body.” To touch the realm of spirituality, one must go beyond physical and oral worship. Spirituality begins when the mind and intelligence, the supra-material aspects of our personality, are fully involved.

In Kaivalya Navaneetam, the poet says: If there is no entity different from the body, and the body alone exists, then who knows all the modifications taking place in dream, who knows the void of sleep and who cognizes the entire visible magnitude, employing the mind, senses etc.?

Swamiji urges seekers to understand the power and potential of the mind, which can be refined, strengthened, and made flexible. While we nourish the body every single day, we must also make a sincere effort to nourish and enrich the mind and intelligence.
