Having made it clear to us that everything we perceive is nothing but Consciousness, Swami Nirviseshananda Tirtha goes deeper into the twin regenerative means to spiritual progress - abhyasa (practice) and vairagya (dispassion). The emphasis in today’s Satsang, is how effortfulness is the final obstacle in this path, and surrender the ultimate pursuit and fulfillment.

It seems ironic that our self-effort is to be applied to finally become effortless, but that is the way of this wonderful, enriching spiritual journey. To be absolutely free and natural, with a feeling of complete refuge having no expectations at all… what a blissful state of being!
