Lecture series based on Chapter 12 of Bhagavad Gita, given by Nutan Swamiji during Sadhana Shibiram Malaysia 2024.
Venue: SIRD, Malaysia, 27 January 2024
In this Satsang, Sri Krishna explains that one who dedicates all actions to the Supreme and worships with unwavering devotion is soon freed from worldliness. Such devotees have their minds wholly attuned to the Supreme. Therefore, the seeker should establish both mind and intellect in the Supreme alone.
If one is unable to do so, Krishna prescribes Abhyāsa Yoga—steady spiritual practice. If sustained practice is difficult, one should perform all actions for the sake of the Supreme. If even this is not possible, one should take refuge in the Supreme Yoga and inwardly renounce attachment to the results of actions.
Krishna states that knowledge is superior to mechanical practice, meditation is superior to mere knowledge, and renunciation of the fruits of action arises from deep contemplation. From such renunciation comes lasting peace.
In conclusion, Swamiji emphasizes that spiritual and worldly life are not separate. Through constant practice of Buddhi Yoga and sincere Sadhana, the mind and intellect must be transformed and one must perform actions free of desires. The seeker’s constant aim must be to cultivate a universal dimension.
