Lecture series based on Chapter 12 of Bhagavad Gita, given by Nutan Swamiji during Sadhana Shibiram Malaysia 2024.
Venue: SIRD, Malaysia, 26 January 2024
In this Satsang, Swamiji emphasizes that Sri Krishna wanted Arjuna to surrender to the Supreme, become an instrument of the Divine, and fight. By surrendering his ego of doership and enjoyership, Arjuna had to become impersonal, impartial, and free. He had to take full refuge in Sri Krishna, his Guru.
When a seeker loses his egoistic identity, which is sustained by his own likes and dislikes, desires, selfishness, ego etc., he becomes an instrument in the hands of God/nature. This is the highest state of devotion. Such a devotee gives the Lord the supreme position in life and remains devoted to him, setting aside personal likes and dislikes.
Speaking about the most superior devotion, Sri Krishna says that those devotees who worship the Supreme with constant identity, constantly united with the Supreme, infusing the Lord in their mind, are the most integrated, united. But those given to contemplation of the universal, unmanifest Lord also attain Him, provided they are imbued with sense-restraint, equal vision, and are interested in the welfare of all creatures on earth.
