In this absorbing session, Swamiji discusses the preparation required for meditation and the process of focusing within. The first step is to find a secluded space and free the mind from worldly distractions. Having a straight, comfortable posture and having external and internal purity are essential. One must also mentally surrender to the Guru, with humility and devotion.

After ensuring a conducive atmosphere, the practitioner must shift his focus within. Focusing on the heart (from where the ‘I’ness and ‘Mine’ness arise), he must reflect on the Universal Atma which is pure, and free of all desires and grief. He must contemplate on the formless, transcendental Self, which is beyond sensory comprehension.

The goal is to feel the auspiciousness, supreme peace, purity and immortality within. As the mind thinks about the Transcendental, the body-feeling will slowly fade and all that will remain is the One, uniform, expansive sameness.

Swamiji emphasizes the importance of purifying the mindset (Bhava) to ensure that pure thoughts arise in the mind. By connecting thoughts to the Consciousness, through Bhava-shuddhi, the seeker will not miss the awareness of the Consciousness, even in daily interactions.

Swamiji will be discussing 'Voice of Upanishads'. The Global Satsang will be based on Kaivalya Upanishad. | Live Satsangs with Spiritual Masters on Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday at 8 pm IST/10:30 am EDT/ 10:30 pm MST.
