In this Global Satsang, Swamiji states emphatically that a seeker must do deep research and study of the scriptures. Parallelly, he will also have to instill the bhava and get dissolved in the Bhava. Swamiji divides the entire Upanishad into sections, according to the Sadhana of a seeker, and summarizes the entire text.

Ashvalayana comes to Brahma and asks to be instructed on the Supreme Knowledge, Brahmavidya, attaining which one transcends all constrictions and attains the Supreme goal in life. Brahma shows him the way to immortality by saying that this can attained only by Sraddha, Bhakti and Dhyana Yoga. It cannot be attained by karma (activities), manpower or wealth but only through renunciation. It must be an internal renunciation of desires, ego, doership, enjoyership and clinging.

The Upanishad gives a step-by-step practice for a seeker, saying that withdrawing to a secluded place and withdrawing the senses, the seeker must sit in meditation. One must begin meditation after prostrating before the Guru with devotion. One must focus the mind on the pure inner Presence which is the unchanging, imperishable, auspicious substratum, which transcends time, causality and all limitations. One must meditate on the transcendental womb of creation which is the Witness of all.

The Sadhana of introspection must be a constant practice for the Sadhaka. The Upanishad gives the Jnana Sadhana to be practiced by the seeker. It says that Knowledge must be used as a tool to purify the being. By the constant knowledge churning practice, one must bring out the knowledge fire and allow it to blaze forth. By this knowledge fire, all the bondage of the seeker are burnt off.

Swamiji will be discussing 'Voice of Upanishads'. The Global Satsang will be based on Kaivalya Upanishad. | Live Satsangs with Spiritual Masters on Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday at 8 pm IST/10:30 am EDT/ 10:30 pm MST.
