060 – Bhagavad Gita – Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha – Make your delight pure

2856 Views | 2 years ago

In this extremely delightful satsang on the new year's day, Poojya Swamiji explains to us the aim and utility of Spirituality in our lives.

Swamiji tells us that even though our body lives and moves around in this world, our life is actually lived in the mind alone. So the welfare and wellbeing of the mind should be our sole focus at all times. What we call mind is nothing but a functional expression of Consciousness. It is the source, the essence, the substratum and terminus of all thoughts, emotions, perceptions etc. Being so, nothing can ever taint or unsettle it.

Our mind has the unique ability to absorb and assimilate any input from the world and become enriched and empowered in the process. Swamiji tells us that spirituality is this very process of qualitative enrichment of our being. Every event, every moment in our life is for enriching us, provided we pay heed to it!

Poojya Swamiji will be taking Bhagavad Gita Verse by Verse in this Satsang (Saturdays). Swamiji is now discussing the second chapter of the Bhagavad Gita.
