In this Satsang, discussing the fifth chapter of the Bhagavad Gita, Swamiji speaks about how one can perform all activities in life. Adopting the prescribed Bhagavad Gita formula, one can course through all activities efficiently, joyfully and confidently, without getting affected.

The Knower of Truth, who is established in his own real identity, knows that he is not the doer. While acting and interacting, he will feel that he is not the doer or experiencer, but is the Witness. He comfortably allows all activities and interactions to take place but never get affected by them. He accepts whatever comes and leaves whatever goes away, remaining the perpetual witness. He is steady in the knowledge that, no activity or change takes place and no effect befalls in the ‘I’ level.

The Jnani dedicates all his activities to Brahman, the Supreme Reality, performing all activities without any delusional clinging. When all activities are performed with this Yogic attitude, one never incurs any sin. The knower remains just like the lotus leaf in water, completely unaffected.

Yogis perform all actions with only the body, mind, intelligence and with the senses, eschewing all Sanga (delusional clinging). They perform all activities with the sole purpose of purifying their own being. Swamiji urges all seekers to adopt this formula whereby everything is done for inner purification. This will help transform one’s being, wherein the mind becomes purified and the intelligence becomes sharp and subtle.
