Generally our minds are given to a host of preferences and prejudices. It is these two emotional urges of mind, which makes us constricted and discontented in our interactions with the world. As long as the mind is under the clutches of likes and dislikes, it can never become peaceful.
Poojya Swamiji tells us that spiritual life is an entry into our own mind with an aim of enriching and empowering it. The mind has to be sublimated through the practice of constant evaluation and correction of its responses by the rational intelligence. When the mind is thus rid of all likes and dislikes, it becomes naturally cheerful.
An illumined intelligence and a sublime mind are the greatest embellishments for any human being, with them the whole life becomes beautiful and fulfilling; such a person attains absolute placidity!
Poojya Swamiji will be taking Bhagavad Gita Verse by Verse in this Satsang (Saturdays). Swamiji is now discussing the second chapter of the Bhagavad Gita.
