In this Satsang, Ma shares personal experiences and emphasizes that life in Guru Sannidhi is a rare blessing. The seeker must be open, and straightforward before the Guru and be ever-willing to be corrected by him. There must be a yearning to imbibe his instructions and apply them in daily life.

Seekers must cultivate a deep yearning to experience Divinity, in every situation, every moment of the day. There must be constant introspection on how such a state can be attained. They must cultivate noble qualities extolled by the scriptures and strive for purification of the personality.

Differential notion gives rise to fear, jealousy, competition, desires etc. One must constantly dwell on the thought: “Externally everybody is different, but everybody is the same Self within.” Connecting with this thought every moment, one must dwell in the feeling of Oneness.

Ma chants and explains shlokas from the Vivekachudamani, where the seeker approaches a realized Guru. He confesses that he is scorched by the worldly ocean and seeks guidance and refuge. Seeing this seeker tormented by the afflictions of the world, the saint glances at him with compassion. That glance instantly bestows fearlessness upon the seeker.
