In this session, Ma speaks about her own intense Sadhana, when her quest was to make spirituality the focal point of her life. Imbued with Viveka (discrimination) and Vairagya (dispassion), her heart would yearn for purity and knowledge. She discusses how seekers can progress in the spiritual path, despite being busy with professional and domestic affairs.

The aim of Spirituality is to know one’s own identity. Seekers must have a very clear evaluation and assessment about what spiritual life is! There must be a steady awareness that: “I am a spiritual seeker. Everything I do must reflect this seeker identity.” Clearly knowing the aim, they must strive to imbibe the qualities of a seeker.

When the yearning for liberation grows, the seeker is invariably led to a Knower. In the close company of the Guru, and under his guidance, the personality grows expansive, and universal. Even not in the company of the Guru, if a seeker feels constantly connected to the Guru and his teachings, then he or she is in Gurusannidhi.

Ma urges all listeners to assess their own personality and their spiritual growth constantly and give supreme importance to spiritual knowledge--the highest attainment in life--which leads to expansion, unaffectedness, and fearlessness.
