In this thought-provoking talk, Swamiji emphasizes the transitory nature of the world and the impermanence of the body. He says that a seeker’s mind must raise questions about the purpose of life and whether lasting happiness can be found in the changing world. He emphasizes that true
fulfillment lies in seeking the non-transitory essence amidst the transitoriness of life.

In his Vairagya Shatakam, Bhartrhari pays homage to the elements of nature, acknowledging their role in his expanding knowledge and dispelling delusions. He recognizes Nature’s help in merging with Brahman, and attaining the fullness of life.

A seeker must live in harmonious integration with nature and must transcend limitations of ‘me’ and ‘mine’ and abandon all mental and intellectual shackles. Forsaking a life of despondency and depression, he must live a life of discrimination, abundance, and wisdom. He must recognize the mortality of worldly things and understand that the only immortal aspect is the formless presence within the body.

The text, Bhaja Govindam, underlines the importance and need to eliminate desires. It is only by intense dispassion that one finds true delight. The text speaks about the futility of external disciplines and pilgrimages. One may be given to austere disciplines but if one fails to attain true spiritual wisdom, he will not attain liberation.

In reply to a question, Swamiji says that humans are connected to divinity. He encourages contemplation and introspection to understand and feel this connection, emphasizing that we are already anchored in the Divine.
