The True Purpose of Life

  • The True Purpose of Life

    Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha

Human life is primarily meant to gain the Supreme knowledge of the Imperishable Brahman. This knowledge alone can bestow fulfilment.

The world, our own body, senses, all are perishable. Understanding this, the ultimate aim of a seeker is to attain the imperishable Self. All scriptures discuss this indestructible, imperishable, eternal Brahman, which is one’s own real identity.

This Subject knowledge can be had only by enquiry and introspection. A seeker must constantly introspect over one’s own life, the world and his own inner potential.

Swamiji urges seekers to understand that they are not the body but something different from it. One must be sincere, zealous and introspective to go forward in the spiritual path.
