2 Views | 2 years ago

In this rare series of talks, Swamiji gives us a beautiful, concise summary of what can be the spiritual pursuit of our life. Discussing selected verses from Bhagavad Gita, he gives us Sadhana in a nutshell. Bhagavad Gita's whole intention is to enrich, empower and enlighten the human personality, says Swamiji.

Swamiji, in this talk, quotes and explains verse 9.4 in which Krishna is identifying himself with the Supreme. He says “This entire Universe is permeated by My unmanifest aspect. All beings inhere in Me, but I do not abide in them.” Explaining the verse, Swamiji says that the invisible Presence in the body is not limited by the body. It pervades the whole world.

Swamiji discusses the three states of wakefulness, sleep and dream to make us understand the truth about the world. With the example of the dream phenomenon, Swamiji explains how the world is equally illusory and notional. Discussing the indestructible Self, Swamiji says that this inmost presence is bringing about the jugglery of creation just as the sleeping man creates the jugglery of dream.

Chanting a profound verse from Kathopanishad, Swamiji explains that there is only One Lord who is in the heart of all beings. Though He is One, he creates the manifold world. The focus must be on that One, says Swamiji. For him alone there is contentment and peace, who knows this inner abundance.
