In this talk, Ma Gurupriya ji helps the listeners to visualise an intense seeker, sitting at the feet of a Guru with an attitude of total surrender.
Ma discusses the reason why a seeker comes to the Guru's abode and seeks refuge at the Guru's feet. He is troubled and tormented by the interactions with the world and he would like to know if there is a way to be free of his fears, doubts, confusion and sorrow.
Ma discusses a verse from Vivekachoodamani where a seeker seeks guidance from the Guru. Chanting this heart-stirring verse, Ma explains that the seeker's prayer is indeed our prayer. We all want to cross this worldly ocean and be free of all torment and misery. Ma implores the listeners to identify with the sloka and feel the intensity of yearning of the seeker’s heart.
Ma assures us that when a seeker comes and asks for guidance, the Guru immediately instructs the seeker on the way forward. He will instruct that knowledge of the Self which is the remedy for all the suffering in this world. Driven by his own compassion and selflessness, he takes the seeker’s hand and leads him to the abode of fearlessness. By his words of wisdom and guidance, he uplifts the mind of the seeker.
