Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha

04 – Bhagavad Gita – By Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha – Eternal Relevance of Bhagavad Gita

6 Views | 2 years ago

The concluding talk on Bhagavad Gita by Swamiji is followed by a thought-provoking question and answer session.
The questions asked during the session:
How can one know whether one is doing his own Svadharma? What is the yardstick to know that we have completely surrendered to the Divine and to our Guru?
In Vicharasethu (Ashram’s monthly journal), in the article “Science of inner Redemption” Queen Choodala says “The process of ceaseless desire is called the mind”. In another place in Vicharasethu it was said, “Mind is nothing but Consciousness itself”, In another place it says, “Mind is a mere delusion”. Please clarify.
Why would Brahman even create such a complex cycle of existence? What was the purpose? How did Brahman come into existence in the first place? Where did all the energy in the universe come from?

Although the questions are raised by a few individuals, Swamiji’s replies resonate with all the listeners. Listening to Swamiji’s commentary on the mind, one feels compelled to introspect on it and understand the workings of the mind.
