1026 Views | 6 months ago

This is a vibrant conversation between an engineer turned author (Roopa Pai) and a Physicist turned Spiritualist (Swami Nirviseshananda Tirtha). This session took place in the Online “Global Bhagavad Gita Convention—2022, held from 19th to 21st February.

Roopa starts the discussion with her thoughts and feelings about the Videos titled “Reminiscences” (Global Satsangs by Swami Nirviseshananda Tirtha) where Swamiji speaks about his childhood, youth and his spiritual journey. The cheerful and natural style of Roopa coupled with the inimitable, lucid and clear replies of Swamiji makes it a very interesting and engaging conversation.

The questions raised by Ms. Roopa were:
1)What is it about Physics that fascinated you so much?
2) Why did you choose Spirituality over Science?
3) What is your concept of God? Do you believe in God?
4) You did not want to take Deesha but you got Deeksha from Baba. Will you let us know what happened?
5) You have said that Upanishads are called Philosophy but they are not Philosophy. Can you please elaborate?
6) What is your message for youth? How can detachment help one to work better?
7) Do you have any practical tips for how young people and everyone can practice impartiality?

This open and invigorating discussion explains how Science and Spirituality can go hand-in-hand. The conversation answers some vital questions in the minds of young adults.
