In this Global Satsang, Ma Gurupriya ji takes up Rishabha Charitam from Srimad Bhagavatam. Rishabha deva, an enlightened king, lived an ideal householder life to show people that household life is not for undisciplined enjoyment but for Dharma and finally for fulfilment. Having had this rare human birth, one is not meant to fritter it away in short-lived pleasures. The main aim of life should be to attain the Supreme.
With the aim of guiding his sons towards the Supreme goal, Rishabha Deva gave them a set of instructions. Chanting the verses and discussing each word in detail, Ma exhorts all seekers to understand the instructions and practice them. It is the responsibility of the seeker to do Vichara (introspection) and strive to imbibe the qualities for their own spiritual enrichment.
Ma tells us that our sadhana should never become mechanical. Sadhana should be done with a lot of joy, with the aim to feel purity and divinity every moment. To know that I am the Self and then to realize the truth that Self alone shines everywhere, is the real Spiritual growth. The focus of our sadhana should be to introspect and find out what can be done to make our thoughts, speech and actions to lead us towards this goal. Instead of endeavouring for sensory enjoyments and personal gains, a seeker must aspire for the welfare of everybody!
