087 – Bhagavad Gita – Swami Bhoomananda Tirtha

2012 Views | 1 year ago

In this satsang, Poojya Swamiji beautifully elucidates how the wholesome sustenance of the cosmic cycle depends on the spirit of yajna amongst the humans.

When we perform our actions without selfishness, keeping the collective welfare of the creation in mind, it becomes a wholesome contribution to the world. Such benevolent actions with yajna attitude, have their subtle spiritual influence on the timeliness and distribution of rain. Rain inturn supports and sustains the plant life and thereby the rest of the food chain, including humans.

Swamiji says that while the performance of yajna contributes to the welfare of the external world, it also connects us inwardly to the source of creation. Yajna thus rewards us with worldly and divine gains, leading to fulfillment. What a wonderful and harmonious way of living!
