Ma Gurupriya

04 – by Swamini Ma Gurupriya – Narratives from Sreemad Bhagavatam

716 Views | 9 months ago

In this Satsang, Ma discusses the story of Prahlada from Srimad Bhagavatam. Prahlada was fearless and deeply devoted to the Lord, right from birth. When his father, Hiranyakashipu, questioned him about the best of his Guru's teachings, Prahlada said that constantly remembering and worshipping the Lord is the best education for a human being.

Prahlada advised his classmates to start their spiritual journey from a young age and cultivate one-pointed devotion to the Lord. To cultivate unswerving devotion, one must worship the Guru without any expectations and serve him. One must cultivate association with the devotees of the Lord and spend time discussing the glories of the Lord, singing about Him and meditating on Him.

When one develops one-pointed devotion for the Lord, he becomes free of all bondage. All his undesirable traits are washed off and one attains Him.

Ma urges all seekers to adhere to their spiritual disciplines in a steadfast manner. She emphasizes that a spiritual aspirant needs to cultivate fearlessness, unwavering devotion, and desirelessness, following the example of Prahlada. For Ultimate spiritual fulfilment, one must surrender to the Supreme Lord and transcend worldly desires.
