In this Satsang series based on Ashtavakra Samhita, Swamiji speaks about the joy of being natural, being established in one’s own real identity.

Sage Ashtavakra tells King Janaka about his real identity. He says: “You are the Witness of everything; You are the unaffected witness of all changes taking place and you are ever-free. Transcend all grief by burning off all ignorance with the fire of wisdom. By constant introspection, arrive at the conviction that ‘I am the one pure sentience’.”

“You are the Consciousness which is the witness, which is non-dual, all-pervading, singular, ever-free and full. You are unattached, free of desires and peaceful. But being under the grip of delusion, you say that you are in samsara (worldliness). You are tied by the noose of the body-notion (feeling that: ‘I am the body’). Use the sword of knowledge and cut the body-notion and be comfortable and happy.”

“You are free of all attachments. Your body, mind, intelligence are active, but you are not a doer. You are self-luminous and free of all blemishes. You practice Samadhi to know this truth and that is your bondage.” Swamiji urges seekers to repeatedly introspect over the profound message of Sage Ashtavakra and realize one’s own identity. Human life is meant only for attaining this fulfilment.
