In this Satsang, Ma translates and explains the book ‘Sadguru Saannidhya’—a Bengali book dedicated to Baba Gangadhara Paramahamsa of Dakshinkhanda (Swamiji’s Gurudev). The book contains precious letters written by Baba to Nutan Swamiji and Ma and also articles by Poojya Swamiji, Nutan Swamiji and Ma, about their association with Baba. Through this session, one gets a touch and feel of the great ascetic, Baba. His words of guidance resonate with every seeking heart and mind.

In her letters to Baba, Ma had expressed her dispassion, and about her spiritual yearning. In reply, Baba had said that the guidance and direction of a Guru is of utmost importance in the spiritual journey. He asked her to be fearless and have complete reliance on the indwelling Lord.

Nutan Swamiji also had written to Baba describing his meditational experiences after Deeksha and his Sadhana. In reply, Baba said that a sincere seeker may have many kinds of experiences in his meditation. These are Saatvika Vikaraas (transformations) that manifest as experiences and inspire him in the path of seeking. But these experiences are only milestones, not the destination. A sincere seeker must ignore the experiences and go forward in his quest. Reminiscing about Baba’s words, Nutan Swamiji writes that Baba had explained that when the mind is in harmony with nature, things would happen in a beautiful order, naturally.

Baba emphasized that a seeker must constantly remember the Supreme Lord. By regular remembrance, a state will be reached when one will not have to make any effort to remember. One will be connected to the indweller effortlessly. God is present in everybody’s mind. If the heart and mind are pure, God will be revealed there.
