Interactive Satsang with Poojya Swamiji with Q&As during USA Jnana Yajna 2024 at Stonegate Elementary School, 100 Honors, CA 92620 on 16 June 2024

In this interactive Satsang, Swamiji begins by explaining the meaning of Satsang (Association with the Truth.) Normally, one’s association is with the changeful, transitory world, but in a Satsang the Guru exposes the listeners to the ‘Sat’, the Truth, the eternal, unchanging Self.

What is Spirituality? The human body is material and inert. But there is an inner Presence which animates and activates the body. When one starts probing into the inner domain, one enters the spiritual arena. It is an inner probe or enquiry which involves only the mind and intelligence. By diligent spiritual practice and pursuit, the mind and intelligence get elevated and enlightened.

How to realize the Self? The seeker of Truth must sit closing his eyes, in a secluded place and enter the mind arena. By a slow and gradual practice, he must strive to make the mind and intelligence still. This is a practice which can be done by the individual seeker. If he is unable to do so, he must seek a teacher (a Guru) to guide him in the path.

A human being does not have much freedom in the bodily, physical level. But he has ample scope and freedom in reshaping and restructuring his own mind and intelligence (the inner personality). By refining and sublimating the inner personality, a human being can live a life free of anxiety, fear etc. Swamiji urges all listeners to expose the next generation to the infinitely potent inner personality, understanding which they can lead an effective and joyful life.
