Swami Nirviseshananda Tirtha

074 – by Swami Nirviseshananda Tirtha – Voice of Upanishads

557 Views | 1 year ago

In this satsang, Nutan Swamiji enlightens us about the different categories of seekers. The first category is interested in and rely entirely on the ritualistic path mentioned in vedas. They consider the enjoyments and heavens promised by the performance of rituals as the supreme and denounce the Jnana Kanda. Clinging strongly to sensory enjoyments, they refuse to evolve to higher dimensions of life.

The second are given to an austere life, their desires being attenuated and mind peaceful. They value a higher purpose in life. Though not in the search of the ultimate truth, they have the necessary sraddha and tapas and dedicate their life for attaining the feet of the lord.

Then there are those, whose entire focus is turned away from external world and towards the inner SELF, their real identity. Knowing well that the entire object ken is perishable, they search for the imperishable Subject. To realize that, they go to a Guru - who has known the essence of all scriptures and who has dedicated his life to that TRUTH, with humility and seek his guidance!

Swamiji will be discussing 'Voice of Upanishads'. The Global Satsang will be based on Kathopanishad and Mundakopanishad. | Live Satsangs with Spiritual Masters on Tuesday/Thursday/Saturday at 8 pm IST/10:30 am EDT/ 10:30 pm MST.
