In this Satsang, Swamiji reiterates that a seeker must reinforce meditational sadhana with interactional sadhana every day. Interactions are not to be shunned but to be used as opportunities for personality transformation. The goal of meditation (realizing the Self) must be made the goal of interactions also. The Soul dimensions-universality, unaffectedness, etc.- must in infused in all activities and interactions.

The Bhagavad Gita discusses the three-guna model to facilitate understanding of the personality and and to attain freedom from the bondage of the gunas. Sattva, rajas, and tamas will continue to function in the human personality, but their binding influence can be transcended.

Sattva guna leads to understanding, knowledge, and purity. It helps grow discrimination and it reveals the unity in diversity. It is conducive to the knowledge that leads to the ultimate Truth. But sattva guna binds by saatvika sukha and saatvika jnana.

Rajo guna leads to a fragmented and colured vision, fostering clinging to what one likes and aversion to what one dislikes. It enhances greed, and yearning for desire-motivated activities. It distracts a seeker from his goal. Rajo guna binds through karma sanga--clinging to ceaseless activity.

Tamo guna is opposed to activity and enlightenment. It leads to inattention, lethargy, and delusion, veiling the Truth through ignorance.
