In this Satsang, Ma continues to read out and explain sections from Poojya Swamiji’s book: “My beloved Baba,” where he writes about his relationship with his Guru (Baba), his initiation, the subsequent Sadhana and about Baba’s guidance and direction.

After initiation, Swamiji took to his Sadhana wholeheartedly, one-pointedly, and with dedication. He told his beloved Guru that he would do his Sadhana but he would not like to read any scriptures. Baba told him to focus on Sadhana and have the experience of the unchanging Self. The books that were necessary would reach his table, at the right time.

The first book that came to hand was Aparokshanubhuti, which gave him the necessary enlightenment and inspiration. Coming across Mundakopanishad, Swamiji understood that Brahmavidya is an enrichment and treasure in human life and a seeker enquiring about the Truth is inevitably led to a compassionate saint knower. By the reading of the text, he was imbibing its brilliance and power. Each word came as a support, and confirmation of what he was experiencing through his own Sadhana.

The Upanishad says that by knowing the Supreme Truth, everything else will become known. Reading this, Swamiji understood the depth and realization that he should achieve, through his Sadhana. The real sadhana consists in receding into one’s own bosom.

Swamiji felt that the reading, understanding, and assimilating the Upanishad made his relationship with Baba more vibrant. By closely observing Baba’s life and by his own Sadhana of introspection, his mind started outliving its fascination for routine practices.
