In this Satsang, Ma reads and explains the portion from Poojya Swamiji’s book “My Beloved Baba,” where he writes about his initial years of intense Sadhana. After receiving Deeksha (initiation), Swamiji pursued his Sadhana wholeheartedly. By that, his connection with Baba grew internally, and gradually he understood the depth and dimension of Baba (his Guru) and the value of his spiritual guidance.

After meeting Baba, Swamiji had no specific wish to see God; Baba became his personal God. The association and the mental bond with Baba transformed his life, facilitating and speeding up the process of Sadhana. Baba became the pivot and fulcrum of his life. He had a firm conviction that everything in his life was an outcome of the association with Baba. Swamiji took to his own Sadhana with dedication, devotion, and sincerity. Baba urged him to first experience and realize his own identity (the changeless Self) and then compare his own realization with the declaration of the shastras.

Coming across ‘Aparokshanubhuti’ (by Shankaracharya), which speaks about the direct realization of the Self, was a revelation for Swamiji. He writes that the seeker must get immersed in the Aparoksha perception, with perseverance and dedication, overcoming all hindrances and obstacles. He has to be in the Self, be embraced by the Self, to the exclusion of all other things. Exclusiveness and wholesomeness in sadhana are indispensable for a seeker.

Ma urges all seekers to strive to emulate Swamiji’s wholesomeness, dedication, exclusiveness, in pursuing Sadhana. Constant introspection and self-assessment about one’s own intensity in pursuing Sadhana is mandatory for a seeker.
