This video features Part 2 of the two-part Satsang by Swamini Ma Gurupriya, delivered in Malaysia on 4th July 2018, on the theme Way to Freedom and Fearlessness.
In this Satsang, Ma emphasizes that one can attain a state of freedom and fearlessness only by knowing one’s own real identity. Interactions with the worldly objects and people, lead to affliction and disturbance and man is always fearful, stressed, and disturbed. To find release from the afflictions of the world, he must approach a realized knower who can guide him in the spiritual path and help him achieve the sole aim and purpose of life.
Scriptures say that if one wants to be free of fear, they must worship the all-pervading Supreme Lord. By listening, reading, chanting, and singing the glories of the Lord, devotion will grow. A seeker can have constant freedom and happiness only when he is free of possessiveness, he is self-restrained, peaceful, even-minded and contented in life.
Aiming for the state of freedom and fearlessness, what spiritual routines must seekers follow? They must constantly remind themselves about their own real identity, which is pure, unaffected, unattached, eternal, unchanging. Seekers must strive to cultivate these attributes of the Self. Avoiding wasting time in petty matters, they must introspect on the Self.
Ma exhorts seekers not to do the spiritual routines mechanically. The Sadhana must be a constant, lively, and joyful process. In and through all speech, thoughts, and action, they must feel the presence of the Supreme Lord. Every activity and interaction should only lead to enrichment and elevation of the mind.
