In this Satsang, Ma speaks about Baba Gangadhara Paramahamsa (Poojya Swamiji’s Gurudev) and his abode Poornashram, which was rebuilt and dedicated to Baba in February. She discusses Swamiji’s book ‘Gurupada Samarpanam’ and emphasizes that Poornashram is not just an Ashram, it is the living presence of Baba, a representation of his renunciation, austerity, realization, his vast knowledge of scriptures, and his self-seatedness.

Poojya Swamiji emphasizes that whatever he is today is only because of the spiritual guidance of Baba alone. The wholesome transformation in his life was possible only because of Baba. Narayanashrama Tapovanam and all the centres have also grown from the seed that Baba has sown in him. Poornashram is a living expression of Baba’s austerity and renunciation and seekers must go to Poornashram for their own inner transformation and to absorb its austerity and renunciation.

In her youth, Ma experienced intense dispassion to the world and took to intense enquiry. She wrote to Baba openly, expressing her inmost feelings. A short, succinct reply soon came, which she received with great emotion and gratefulness. In this Satsang, Ma reads out the first letter which Baba had written to her. The compassionate and loving Baba wrote that it is a rare fortune to see the problems in the world and develop dispassion.

Is a Guru and Deeksha necessary in the spiritual path? Baba wrote that in all academic subjects one feels the need for a teacher. There can be no doubt that a Guru or a guide is required to attain this supreme knowledge. By having a Guru, a seeker acknowledges that there is someone who is superior and by this acknowledgement, his ego gets sublimated.

Shlokas chanted in the Satsang:
59:33 - ये हि संस्पर्शजा भोगा दु:खयोनय एव ते ...Bhagavad Gita 5.22
1:01:38 - जन्ममृत्युजराव्याधिदु:खदोषानुदर्शनम्...Bhagavad Gita 13.9
